The Company
Expertise built in the field since 2005
Filets Recyclage was founded in 2013 in Brocas, in the Landes region of France, but its activity began as early as 2005 with the first trials in collecting used fishing nets across France and Europe.
Founded and led by Alexandre Janssens, a textile engineer by training, Filets Recyclage draws on hands-on expertise in the recovery and recycling of used fishing gear (UFG).
The company quickly developed field partnerships to identify, sort, and direct flows of end-of-life fishing gear (EPU) into appropriate recycling streams.
Over the years, it has helped prevent the landfilling of several thousand tonnes of nets from countries such as Norway, Ireland, the Netherlands, Morocco, Tunisia, and Turkey.

A company structured to meet the needs of the industry
Filets Recyclage was created to address a clear reality: without significant public support, the volumes collected in France remain insufficient to sustain profitable local recycling.
The company operates as a licensed collector, trader, and broker (prefectural declaration no. 106), with the mission of channeling materials into the most suitable European recycling streams.
Each operation is carefully documented, in compliance with regulations and with a strong focus on full traceability.
